What we're doing to Protect the Environment
At
Cellynne, our commitment to environmental protection
includes initiatives in recycling, source reduction and resource
recovery. We're focused not only on making the most of
renewable resources, but also on minimizing emissions and wastes
that threaten to disrupt the delicate natural balance of our
environment.
Our
innovative and extensive use of post-consumer materials
diverts more waste from landfills, thus reducing the harmful
impact on our natural resources. In addition to our
cartons, cores and paper wrap being made from 100% recycled
fibers, Cellynne has also established a comprehensive
recycling program for paper, pallets, banding and batteries.
The paper from our converting operation is either re-used in
the paper-making process or sent to a recycler, where it is
used in the manufacturing of other products.
Cellynne's
paper mill facility has implemented policies and procedures
designed to eliminate, reduce or recycle their wastewater
streams. As a result, our papermaking process utilizes
85% less water treatment process to remove suspended solids
before returning the water for reuse in the environment.
Through
extensive product research and process impovement,
Cellynne has proven that being "green" no longer means
sacrificing quality. Our lines of paper and towel
products continue to feature the same exceptional quality
that Cellynne distributors and customers have become
accustomed to, while meeting rigorous federal government
standards concerning environmental impact and pollution.
